Reflections

Matthew records one of those times in Jesus' ministry where He has to answer that question, "Are You the one, are You the Messiah?" The question was asked by the disciples of John the Baptist, sent by John who was in jail. Jesus answers, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of Me." (Matthew 11:4-6 ,NIV)  Said another way, what do My actions and words tell you?  

His message is clear to me, and brings a question to my mind. What do my actions and words tell others about me? What do your actions and words tell others about you? Jesus made it clear to all who would listen that He was the Messiah. I pray you and I make it clear to those around us that we are His followers, trying to be like Him. I am a wise man if I put my faith in Jesus into action. "Wisdom is proved right by her actions."
