Reflections

I remember darkness, although I would never have identified my life as dark or without life or love. Before I accepted Jesus as my Savior, I effectively lived in a state of darkness. My life was certainly punctuated by positive events, but I struggled through many situations without the love and guidance that only God can offer. It was through my rebirth that I realized how a veil of darkness had been lifted from my life and replaced with the incredible light that is God's love.

The presence of God's light has transformed my life. Priorities have changed, perspectives have adjusted to permit me to replace the chaotic aspects of my life with P-E-A-C-E. God's love has helped me to discover that, amazingly enough, I do not always need to know what will happen next in my life. No longer do I live alone on an island or reside at "Chaos Court." I need only to ask for His guidance through prayer and then follow His Love into the light.

God's promise to provide light to those who believe in and follow Him is very real. We need only to practice faith and not permit fear to overcome us.

3. Do examples exist in Scripture where God's counsel was sought to remove the darkness and find the light? What was the result?
